This wall sculpture is made from old growth redwood that is at least several hundred years old. The center section was stabilized with some epoxy resin before carving. The wood is noticably dense due to its age, and of some considerable weight. The elongated shape was chosen based on the original, oval-shaped wooden board. Approximately 36” x 21”.
